Northwood College for Girls GDST
Northwood College for Girls GDST provides a centre of excellence, where each lesson and extra-curricular activity is designed to craft the optimum future for our girls. An outstanding independent day school and member of the Girls’ School Association (GSA), we are a proud and vibrant community of dynamic young women who look after one another and rejoice in one another’s successes. Our outstanding teachers ignite intellectual curiosity every day and are dedicated to ensure that each pupil reaches her academic potential.
We believe that strength of character is as important as academic success. Our Cognitive Learning programme teaches our girls to think creatively, critically and analytically, whilst our Emotional Resilience programme empowers young women with tools and techniques that will enable them to face life’s challenges with confidence and self-assurance.
We recognise that success and purpose stem from feeling valued and we always act with compassion and integrity, working hard to ensure that our girls feel supported and secure in school. We foster joy at Northwood College and our 76 extra-curricular clubs across school each week (ranging from Rock Climbing and Coding to Virtual Reality and Manga Art) provide our girls with a host of opportunities to expand their friendship group, discover new interests and develop talents.
We recognise our global responsibility and work hard to instil a strong moral and ethical compass in all our girls. Being a member of the Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) means that we are able to embrace innovation with our teachers having access to the best facilities, resources and training. Being a GDST girl means that each girl can benefit from a range of academic, leadership and career workshops, scholarships and awards.
